550 Squadron Photos

S/Ldr B J Redmond DFC* and Crew

F/Lt B J Redmond and crew were posted to 550 Squadron from No. 1 LFS Hemswell on 7th June 1944:

All but two of this crew (S/Ldr Redmond and F/Lt Hardy) were however killed when LL837 was lost on the raid on Revigny, 14 Jul 1944 with the Squadron Commanding Officer W/Cmdr P E C C Connolly piloting. The Senior Gunnery Officer, F/Lt K W L Fuller, was flying in place of F/Lt O A Hardy as gunner.

F/Lt Redmond became S/Ldr Redmond and was Flight Commander "B" Flight: July 1944 - 03 January 1945.
