Subject: TV Documentary Series
Dear 550 Squadron
Association,
I work for a television
production company in Toronto Canada called Cineflix Productions and we
are developing a new series that focuses on airmen who are or were air
aces and/or heroes. The program is being produced for History Canada,
Discovery Military in the US, and FIVE in the UK. One of the episodes we are working on will focus on Norman
Cyril Jackson VC and his 'wing-walking' feat in the Second World War.
I'm hoping to reach out
to different squadrons that flew Lancaster bombers with the hope of getting in
touch with pilots and flight engineers who would be willing to share their
knowledge and experience with us. We are hoping to get a first hand,
vivid account of what it was like to fly a Lancaster and how one became a
Flight Engineer and what the job entailed.
We would greatly
appreciate any help and advice you can lend.
Thank you and I look
forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Kalin Moon
