Reunion 2011
550 Squadron Reunion 2011
Photographs from the Association Reunion at North Killingholme 1-3 July 2011.
Thanks to all in North Killingholme who pulled out all the stops to make the weekend great. Thanks also to all the Association members and others who turned up, from literally all over the globe, to make it a wonderful day for all.
The number of photos displayed continues to grow as more flow in. It should also be possible to make available some video of the Lancaster fly-past at the Memorial Stone.
Some images are available in one resolution only, in which case click on the picture to view (they will launch in another window).
Where there are some pictures available in a choice of resolutions then click on the offered link rather than the thumbnail image.
NB: Most of the pictures are not particularly large (ca. 1Mb or less), but those marked "high res" are a bit larger (2Mb or more) and if you have a slow connection they may take a little while to download.

Reunion Weekend Friday 1st July - Saturday 2nd July: Welcome Information
|
Friday Afternoon, RAF Coningsby
Some very lucky folk were able to make a detour via RAF Coningsby on the way to the reunion in order to have a special opportunity to see the BBMF Lancaster BQ-B The Phantom of the Ruhr.
For those intending to go to the BBMF Visitor Centre at RAF Coningsby this year it cannot be stressed enough - if you have the opportunity then do look into this special opportunity for 550 ex-aircrew and Association members. On our Friday visit we had the red-carpet treatment and Arthur Punchard cannot be thanked enough for the trouble he took in giving an "up close and personal" visit to the BBMF Lanc. Entertaining, information and packed with details. A wonderful way to spend a Friday afternoon. Thank-you Arthur.
