Despite the on-going COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation the Remembrance Weekend, planned for November in North Killingholme, was still expected to take place.
However, with the announcement, on 31st October, that England would be going into a second lockdown from 5th November then clearly the plans for Remembrance in North Killingholme have had to be revised.
It is understood that church services are not allowed under lockdown, nor meals at hotels, so the Remembrance Day plans are cancelled.
A band of (local) stalwarts are intending to carry out a simple wreath-laying ceremony and 2 mins silence on Wednesday 11th November at 11am at the Memorial Stone and outside the church on behalf of the Association.
We will remember them.
