F/Lt Mitchell and crew were posted to 550 Squadron from 1656 HCU w.e.f. 10/03/1945:

The transfer out date for most of the crew members is not clear, but F/Lt Mitchell was posted from 550 Sqdn to R.A.F. Blyton w.e.f. 29.10.45.

F/Lt F J Mitchell was on his second tour with 550 Squadron as pilot; his first tour (details below) with 103 Squadron was as a gunner.
