Sgt D Lucey (R/AG)
Sgt Dennis Lucey was born in Tower, Co. Cork, Ireland. Sgt Lucey's nephew still lives in same family home.
Sgt Lucey is buried in Canovee graveyard (near Macroom) County Cork, about 18 miles from Tower village. He was 25 years old when he ws killed in action.
Fergus Hannon recently visited the grave of Sgt Lucey and sent in a number of photographs (of very old graveyard) and the RC Church where the pre-burial ceremony was performed in 1945. Many thanks to Fergus for making the photographs available and permission to display them on the web-site.
